Every two years
at Easter it is time to move to Szilvásvárad
for some days, one of the most beautiful
places in Hungary. It is famous for its
Lipizzaner stud farm as well.
Also one of my
favourite showgrounds and shows in general,
always perfectly organized and beautifully
decorated. It was always the weather gods
that wouldn't cooperate: 2001 we had hail
stones falling from the sky, 2003 was very
very warm, 2005 flooded away in heavy rains
and 2007 quite normal compared to the
previous years :-) and 2009 was perfect,
except for a thunder-shower on Monday - when
the champion bitches were in the ring.
Our place to
stay at was the same house as it had been in
2007, a nice house with pretty rooms and garden
and last but not least, at the end of the
village with only a few meters from the
fields and pheasants :-)
This year there
were three shows in a row - and Danka became
more and more beautiful day-by-day :-)

Saturday: the
Setter Clubshow with Mr. Colin Mackay (UK)
judging the Irish. Such a nice and charming
man and above this, he gave Danka one of her
most beautiful critiques ever. Danka was
placed 3rd in the class.
On Sunday an
international show: Ludovica Salamon (I)
awarded Danka res.CAC and
also res.CACIB! This came
totally unexpected to me as the competition
was hard.
And on Monday a
show for hunting breeds only. Ole
Staunskjaer (DK) thought highly of Danka (but
put all her "faults" on the paper) and gave
her the title best bitch.
